when i was 21 my roommate abby decided that she wanted to take part in the big brother/sister program. the only problem was that she didn't want to do it alone, she wanted all of us roommates to take part in it with her. she thought it would be cool if we could host things at our house, and that we would all be big brothers or sisters and it would be this big happy family. this big happy family of drug users and bulimics with kids who needed guidance..... who was she kidding?

i remember mark and i thought that it might not be such a good idea, and christina was sort of nochalantly staying out of it (smart girl) and abby got so mad at all of us for not taking an active role in the children of the world's growth and development. such high hopes, dashed.

i'm not sure what made me think of that incident right now.

oh well.
